Mission Updates – June 2018

In a very short time, school will be starting for students around the valley and for many parents the initial cost of school supplies can be overwhelming and replacing them, as needed, even more difficult.

Many stores have specials on crayons, pencils, paper, etc that seem reasonable to us, but expensive to many lower income parents. San Marcos is a local school whose students could benefit from donations of school supplies. Very soon, stores will begin to sell school supplies and buying in bulk, the prices are reasonable. So, if you are at Target, The Dollar Store, or Walgreens, buy crayola crayons (boxes of 8 or 16 only), pencils, paper, erasers, glue or any other item that would be helpful in a classroom.
After the first of July, bring these items to church and place them in the box in the Narthex and they will be delivered to San Marcos Elementary School. The students and staff will appreciate any donations.
