Our Beliefs

What We Believe

Sun Lakes United Church of Christ acknowledges as its sole head Jesus Christ, Son of God, and Savior. We acknowledge as kindred in Christ all who share in this confession. We look to the word of God in the scriptures and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to prosper our creative and redemptive work in the world.

We claim as our own the faith of the historic Church as expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant
Reformation. We affirm the responsibility of the church in each generation to make this faith our own in reality of worship, in honesty of thought and expression and in purity of heart before God.

Sun Lakes United Church of Christ is a Christ centered congregation, welcoming all, wherever you are on life’s journey; for the purpose of growing in faith through worship, music, study, service, and fellowship.

We welcome you to our community. You will find in these pages of our website the story of our people and our community of faith. So take your time in getting to know us and if by chance you have to the opportunity to be in Sun Lakes on a Sunday morning, you are more than welcome to join us for worship.
